Yiru picked up her first camera at the age of 10, drawn instinctively to the shapes, shadows, and stillness that form the architecture of the world. What began as an intuitive act of observation has since evolved into a deeper dialogue between lens, light, and landscape.
In 2019, an experience became a pivotal moment in her visual journey. Surrounded by unfamiliar people and places, she began to realize that photography was not just about capturing beauty — it was about forming an emotional resonance with the world.
Now based in Paris, Yiru’s work focuses on expressing the emotional temperature of a city through light, reflection, and the delicate interactions between humans and their environments. She often uses mirrors, architectural fragments, and natural textures to reveal hidden layers of feeling in urban life.
For her, the world is a playground where she roams intuitively — shaping moments through light, material, posture, and timing. As an emotional sculptor, she uses photography to carve the ever-shifting architecture of perception.
